Dennis 1 & 2 Apartments are located at the beach road of Kalamaki and near to a very beautiful, laid with sand beach. It is also close to the local shops, bars, night clubs and taverns, which line the attractive main street. The ideal place for relaxation and amusement for families and couples of all ages. You can use the buses to make some small trips. Although we recommend to rent a car. Zakynthos is a very beautiful island and there are much to discover! The best way is to book your car via internet, so that you can get it in the airport.

A few words for Kalamaki...
Kalamaki Zante Greece is located on the end of the eastern side of the bay of Laganas, about 5 kilometres south of the capital of Zakynthos, Kalamaki is a small and crowded resort with one of the most beautiful beaches of the island. The sandy beach is, like Laganas Beach, protected by the Greek and international legislation order. Kalamaki is also part of the National Marine Park. Impressive rocky formations dominate the beach of Kalamaki in Zante and offering a superb panoramic view over the bay of Laganas. Kalamaki is located near the airport and travel to Kalamaki is easy.
Kalamaki has one half-mile long street lined with souvenir shops, supermarkets, bars, and restaurants–all with giant TV screens with the volume turned up. All the restaurants have giant menus outside and most offering the all-day breakfast. If you want an English pub, it’s there, as well as an Irish pub. Having said that, Kalamaki caters mainly for families, and as such, has all the amenities required, including a long 3-mile beach.
The Kalamaki end of the beach is a protected area due to the nesting site of the loggerhead turtles, where crowds of the tiny baby turtles can be seen hurling down to the water in early season. Because of the turtles, there are no water sports here other than the odd pedalo. The beach is sandy and about 3 miles long. For swimming it is fine-quite shallow near the beach, so it’s grand for kids. But it's quite a long way out before the deeper water.
Although Kalamaki offers a good choice of restaurants and bars, those wanting busier nightlife are best to head into nearby Laganas. |
