Porto Koukla is a wonderful little resort nestled between Agios Sostis and Keri Lake on the bay of Laganas surrounded by olive groves. This is a very small resort consisting of two hotels and a few self catering units with a very narrow beach and with lovely views of Marathonissi and the bay of Laganas.
The Gloria Maris Hotel, is an Excellent Family run Hotel with 66 rooms quietly situated in Porto Koukla a small secluded resort right on the beach. The hotel is surrounded by countryside and olive groves, set in its own tropical gardens perched above the perfectly clear waters of Laganas Bay giving you the feeling that you are in a tropical paradise.
Gloria Maris offers three types of accommodation, hotel rooms on Half Board Basis, self catering studios and self catering apartments. All Hotel rooms have their own private facilities, piped music, telephone, balcony or terrace. (Fridges can be hired at a small charge paid locally).
Self catering accommodation has a small kitchenette, fridge, private facilities, balconies or terrace, telephone and piped music.
Guests booking the Hotel rooms are on Half Board Basis with a buffet breakfast provided in its breakfast area and dinner, again buffet style, on the pool terrace overlooking the sea and Marathonissi.
Gloria Maris Hotel has its own swimming pool with pool bar, sun terrace patio with free sunloungers and umbrellas.
Steps in front of the hotel lead down to a narrow sandy beach which has sunbeds, umbrellas on a daily small charge, pedaloes, canoes for hire and special boat trips to Marathonissi (Turtle Island).
Just above the beach you will find the Tropics beach bar which is a real delight where snacks are available in the day time and in the evening this lovely little bar becomes a candlelit cocktail bar where you can enjoy a drink in a relaxing atmosphere with the sea just below you.
The Gloria Maris is an exquisite hotel for a relaxing and peaceful holiday in a unspoilt area of Zante.
